First introduced in 2002, the energy rating system is a way of measuring the energy efficiency of new windows. As from June 2022 all new windows must achieve a rating of ‘B’ – ‘A’ being the highest, or have a ‘U’ value below 1.4 W/m²K – the lower the number the warmer it will be. Nearly all our windows are ‘A’ rated or achieve a ‘U’ value below 1.3 W/m²K.
Our windows and glass are made from the highest quality products. As a standard we use 24mm double glazed units on all our sash windows and all our timber products. As standard we use 28mm double glazing in our PVC-u casement windows & doors. Want it warmer or quieter – we can offer acoustic glass or triple glazing.
